Peleliu

Peleliu (Beliliou) is located in the Pacific island, one of the Palauan and also one of the administrative units of the country. Peleliu total area of 3 square km, is living on the island of around 700 people (2004) – in terms of population is the third largest island of Palau. Most wyspiarzy resident in located on the north coast village Kloulklubed on the island there are three other villages: * Imelechol * Lademisang * Ongeuidel During the war Peleliu in the Pacific has been the site of bloody struggle between the Japanese and American soldiers known as the Battle of Peleliu. So far has survived the majority of military installations built during this period of time. Today the island is a monument commemorating all soldiers who died during the fighting.
