Peleliu
Peleliu (Beliliou) is located in the Pacific island, one of the Palauan and also one of the administrative units of the country. Peleliu total area of 3 square km, is living on the island of around 700 people (2004) – in terms of population is the third largest island of Palau. Most wyspiarzy resident in located on the north coast village Kloulklubed on the island there are three other villages: * Imelechol * Lademisang * Ongeuidel During the war Peleliu in the Pacific has been the site of bloody struggle between the Japanese and American soldiers known as the Battle of Peleliu. So far has survived the majority of military installations built during this period of time. Today the island is a monument commemorating all soldiers who died during the fighting.

Economy
On most islands kokosowa palm tree grows. Main plant nutrition: kolokazja (taro), cassava, Sweet potatoes, bananas. The great role played catch fish (especially tuna), turtles, the shell. Palau exports of fish, coconut oil and copra, arts and crafts products tortoiseshell. Develops tourism, water sports.
As one of the few countries in the world of Palau has no foreign debt.
The international airport is located on the island of Babelthuap, and connecting bridge from the island of Koror.

When to Go
Springtime is full of festivals in Palau and can make it an interesting time to visit. February and March are Palau’s non-rainy months, while June to August is the stormiest period. Typhoons tend to hit around this time when they come, which isn’t often. Palau’s water temperatures remain above 27°C (above 82°F) year-round, much to divers’ delight.

Melekeok
Melekeok (pronounced /məˈleɪkeɪoʊk/ in English[citation needed]) is a town and one of Palau’s sixteen states. It is located on the east coast of Palau’s largest island, Babeldaob. As of 7 October 2006, the city of Melekeok became the seat of Palau’s government, replacing Koror as the nation’s capital city.
